Instructions for the Installation of a Park IT Database received via E-mail

When a database is sent from the Park IT program to an e-mail address, it will arrive in the recipients e-mail with the 'Subject' line 'Database Mail'. The e-mail will contain an attachment file called ParkIT.zip. This file needs to be saved into a folder on the C: drive and used as the restoration file with the restoration feature in Park IT. Here are the step by step instructions:

1. Before starting you need to create a folder on your C: Drive - let's call it 'Databases'

2. Go to your e-mail and select the attachment 'Database Mail' - choose 'Save' and save it to your 'Databases' folder on the C: Drive. You should now have created what is seen in the above pic.

3. Open Park IT and choose the 'File' menu on the top toolbar then choose 'Backup' from the sub-directory - this will open the 'Backup Database' dialog box.

 

You simply need to tell Park IT where to get the information from for the restoration (update) of the database - follow instructions in 'RED'

4. Click the 'Restore button - Park IT will restore the database - Click 'Close' when completed.

You are now viewing the Database sent to you via e-mail.
